Data Ingestion
Replicate databases and document stores with AWS DMS. Full table loads and CDC streaming deliver data to governed S3 buckets, automatically partitioned by ingestion time and stored as Parquet. Apply transformations and assess PII during ingestion through guided wizards. Connect SaaS applications with Amazon AppFlow for configuration-based integration. For fully-customizable ETL, use AWS Glue to handle any data source or transformation logic.
Data Transformation
Transform data at ingestion using DMS transformation rules, or build post-ingestion pipelines with AWS Glue jobs. Write custom PySpark or Python scripts to clean, enrich, and reshape data. Orchestrate complex workflows with dependencies and scheduling. A visual workflow builder for Glue is coming soon.
Analytics & BI
Query your unified data catalog with Amazon Athena using SQL. Reduce sensitive data exposure through ingestion wizards that identify and exclude PII. Tag sensitive tables with Lake Formation tags for fine-grained access control. When users hit permission errors during queries, they can request access directly through the console with time-bounded durations. Admins review requests and grant permissions as needed.
